Heat Network Optimisation Whats Included

Network Optimisation Review

The following review is a standard procedure aimed to give immediate (3 day) insight into current network performance, and an insight into the required upgrades for achieving zero carbon.

Additional days may be needed if networks comprise of sub-plant rooms or more than one property is to be monitored.

Preliminary Teams Meeting

  • Review the site from Google Earth and from available drawings
  • Go over required data from client, including schedule of properties and occupancy, site schematics, and meter data available
  • Confirm dates and access to energy centre and properties

Day 1

  • Analyse site drawings and mark-up with sensor positions
  • Heat loss calculations on site using Google Maps tools
  • Analysis of predicted DHW loads

Day 2

  • Install monitoring within energy centre, comprising of 8-16 temperature sensors, two pressure sensors, and breaking into meter M-Bus
  • Install monitoring on an HIU system in a property
  • Link all data from monitoring to cloud platform and dashboard

Day 3

  • Analyse 24 hours of continuous high resolution data
  • Operational analysis
  • Report on findings

Day 8

  • Load analysis based on 1 week of continuous data
  • Report on recommended upgrades and further steps

Day 10

  • Remove the monitoring kit from the site, possibly redeploying elsewhere to gain more facts and fill in any gaps in knowledge.
