Introduction
The SLIM Twin DHW HIU is based on the standard SLIM DHW HIU however as the name suggests there are two SLIM HIU's working together to give a maximum output of around 130kW DHW.
Each of the SLIM HIU modules are individually housed within their own insulative EPP casing and then mounted side-by-side in a white steel casing. The modules are factory plumbed to operate in parallel with a lead and a secondary unit set to operate in a staged start-up, so that they can operate at very low outputs right the way up to the maximum output.
Each SLIM HIU module is fitted with its own controller, control valve, flow sensor and temperature sensors, and can operate completely independently of the other. However the interconnecting pipework is fitted with a heat meter on the common return pipe, together with binder points for measuring differential pressure across the entire HIU.
Both SLIM HIU modules are wired back to the primary control panel, which features our NODE iHIU control and monitoring electronics together with Modbus RTU output for all HIU operational data and control. This enables the building manager to adjust the HIU settings from a remote location, and allows monitoring of HIU temperatures and alarms.
