HIU Monitor Application Software
The HIU Monitor Application software must be used to access and alter the operating parameters of our electronic HIU range. The software together with an FTDI cable enables engineers to connect to the HIU and change settings such as hot water supply temperature and heating output temperature.
Note: An HIU Firmware update will over write the DHW and CH settings of the HIU with factory default settings, therefore it is important to make a note of these settings, shown in the HIU Monitor Application software, before updating the firmware, then using the HIU Monitor Application software re-input the required settings.

Current Version
Download the ZIP file to your desktop, and unzip / extract it. Then navigate to the Publish Folder and double click on the "Set-up" icon.

FTDI Cable
In order to connect your laptop to our HIU's you will need an FTDI cable. These can be ordered from our webshop here
FTDI Drivers
Your computer may need drivers to enable the FTDI communication cable to be used. Some computers will automatically download the drivers, others may need the driver installing manually. Below are the instructions relating to different computer operating systems.

Firmware Updates
In certain situations it may be necessary to update the operating system (Firmware) on the HIU. This may be where we have launched a number of updates to help your HIU run more efficiently, or if there has been a new feature added. Below is a link to the Firmware update manual, however please contact Thermal Integration directly for the most up to date Firmware file to suit the specific appliance model. (Please note each HIU model has a different firmware file, DO NOT install the incorrect firmware on any HIU as it may result in dangerous operation)
